
Baked Apples with Comté Cheese, Walnuts, Figs & Honey
Sunday March 20th, 2016Is there anything easier to make than baked apples? This is a very easy sweet & savoury recipe that works amazingly well with Comté, a type of French cheese that always works very well with apples.
40 minutes – Serves 4
Ingredients
- 4 sweet apples (such as Pink Lady)
- 80 g Comté cheese
- 2 pieces of fig (dried or fresh depending on the season)
- 1 handfull of walnuts
- 4 teaspoons honey
Preparation
Preheat the oven (190°C). Dice the Comté cheese, walnuts and figs. Blend together. Wash the apples, remove the core with an apple corer and fill them with th echeese mix . Place in an ovenproof dish. Add one teaspoon of honey on each one of them. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
