Spätzle are a kind of egg pasta from Germany. They are very easy to make, all you will need is a spätzle maker, a kind of pasta grater through which your spätzle dough will run and cook. My friend Sabine from Munich has shown me how to make it. Explanations below…
Serves 4 – 20 minutes
- 500g white flour
- 5 eggs
- Salt & water
Preparation and Cooking
Make a whole in your flour, add one teaspoon of salt ad the eggs. Mix and add some water until you reach a lumpy & thick pancake dough. Add some dough in your spätzle maker and cook in salted boiling water. Your spätzle are cooked as soon as they come back to the surface. Serve with butter and grated cheese.
