White cabbage salad with miso&wasabi

My Japanese friend Asuza from Japan gave me lots of different types of miso, this japanese condiment that I love. This gave me the idea to make this white cabbage salad, perfect for my winter healthy pack lunch 🙂


  • 1/4 white cabbage
  • 1 tbsp salted peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 tbsp miso (white or red)
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 pinch of wasabi powder (or pepper)
  • Salt

How to do

For this white cabbage salad you will need to slice the cabbage. Cook in your steam cooker for about 20 minutes. It must remain chunky. Meanwhile, mix the miso with water. Add the other seasoning ingredients. Add the seasoning to the cabbage, add peanuts, serve.
