This is an old recipe fro the cooking classic book “Larousse de la cuisine”. I have seen my grandmummy and mummymake it again and again, until I learnt to do it myself. Nothing to do with a classic donut. This recipe is made of some crunchy apple slices surrounded by a thing fritter dough.

Serves 6 – 1 hour

  • 4 tablespoons Armagnac

Peel and core the apples, then cut into 5mm slices. Blend with brandy annd honey and leave on the side for 2 hours.

  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 dl beer

Melt the butter in a “bain marie”.
